Well, my Con of the North is done. I've finished my last game (a rousing game of Tammany Hall in which I came in last), I've packed up my car, and I've said goodbye to friends old and new. It was a great but tiring weekend. Now I'm just looking forward to going home to my family.

Next up - Tammany Hall
Tzolk'in was fantastic. I was second but still had a lot of fun.
Now we're going to play Tammany Hall, which I am waiting for from the Kickstarter campaign. It is a really fun political, area majority game with delightful backstabbing.
Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar
The next game is another one I really wanted to try out. The game's unique feature is a bunch of interlocking gears that all turn together moving your workers to more powerful spaces. They keep traveling around if you can wait for them to get to where you want them to go.
Sunday morning - Legacy: Gears of Time
I forgot to take a picture of the first game I played this morning, Legacy: Gears of Time. It was really fun. So fun in fact that I went straight into the dealer hall and bought the game straight from the designer. Great start to the day.
I lost Terra Mystica
It was fun, but I didn't do well. It is relatively complex and this was definitely a learning game for me. I didn't have a great pan and didn't concentrate on scoring points which is what wins you the game.

Terra Mystica
We just started a new game: Terra Mystica. It is a hot new game that sounds pretty cool. We're a bunch of mystical raves of people trying to terraform a world to suit ourselves.
Riff Raff
Now we're playing a fantastic children's dexterity game called Riff Raff. We're trying to place wooden pieces on a wobbling ship. It's very well made and actually pretty fun!
...and we're dead
Yeah, only the cheerleader is left. And she's not going to survive for much longer. I would like to say that I was the second to last one left.
We really didn't get this game. It was brutally difficult and we don't see how we could have come even close to winning. Oh well.
Rise of the Zombies card game
We just started this timed zombie survival game. It seems very chaotic. I have no idea what's going on. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like it that much.
Game end - Kings of Air and Steam
I won! It was a neat game. It had a lot of elements I enjoyed but it wasn't spectacular. On to the next game!
Kings of Air and Steam
My next game is getting underway and it looks pretty interesting. It is a pick-up and delivery game using trains and steam powered dirigibles.
Police Precinct - We caught the murderer!
I was the arresting officer. The theme came through and was neat and it was fun but nothing special.
Next game - Police Precinct
We're just about to start a cooperative game with a possible hidden traitor element called Police Precinct. We're an investigative unit for a police force trying to solve a murder.
Saturday morning at Con of the North 2013
I forgot to take a picture of the game in play but the first game of the morning was Quarriors. It is basically Dominion with dice. I was a bit trepidatious (is that a word?) but we played with the special Tournament rules and it was pretty fun. Maybe it helped that I won.
A win for the humans at BSG
Amazing! I was a human and we won! It was the first time I've had the experience. Close game.
CotN - Last game of the night?
We're starting a game of Battlestar Galactica with the Pegasus expansion, which I've not played with. It is 1am and this has always been a long game in my experience. Woot! Late night at the con!
CotN 3rd game - Garden Dice
Neat little tile placement game using five to determine one's actions. We're just a couple turns in but it's fun.

CotN 2013 Friday - River Dragons
My first game at Con of the North will be River Dragons. I've been told that it looks cute but is really brutal. I'm blue and trying to get across the river to where yellow is.
