Training Day 71/100

Wondering what this post is about? I'm planning on doing a triathlon.

Today was actually a really good training day. I did my first brick. A brick is doing two of the triathlon disciplines in one workout. After dinner tonight I went on a nice bike ride and when I got back home I changed as quickly as I could and headed out for a run. About half way on my run I ran into Allison and Boudreaux on a walk and I took the dog for the last part of my run, so he got a nice extended workout as well.

Tonight my bike ride was 9.07 miles followed by a run of 1.57 miles. I felt really good after the ride but the transition was tough on my legs, especially my knees and ankles. I probably need to start off the run even slower, maybe at a walk, the next couple of times I do this.

And later I did 3 pull-ups. That's right, 3. I may have been a little liberal in my interpretation of that 3rd one, but if I didn't make it all the way up I was pretty close and certainly way closer than I have been before.
